iFOG-IMU-1: Inertial Measurement Unit, class 1 deg/hr, small size and FOG based

Tactical Grade IMU  (available in cylindrical and cuboid shape)

The iFOG-IMU-1-A is a very small size IMU with cuboid shape, con­sisting of 3 fiber optical gyros (FOG) in closed-loop technology of class 0.9 deg/hr and 3 servo-accelerometers of class 2 mg.

The iFOG-IMU-1-B contains the same core sensors, but comes in a cylindrical shape housing.

The IMU is designed for ruggedized ap­plications. The unit can be used shock-mounted or hard-mounted, i.e. also without shock-ab­sorbers within suitable environment. The data output can be trig­gered and the data are sent via an UART RS422 or via a synchronous RS422 interface (HDLC).

The iFOG-IMU-1 systems are manu­fac­tured in Ger­many and can be used as a re­place­ment for Litton’s LN-200 or Hon­eywell’s HG1700 /1900. 

No export license is re­quired for using the device outside of Germany / Europe in commercial ap­plications (only an end use statement is required). iMAR’s iFOG-IMU-1 is in operation in China, India, Can­ada, Korea, USA, UK, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Germany etc.
