ABD Steering Robot with iMAR's INS/RTK-GPS Control presented on Automotive Testing

iTraceRT-F200 iMAR demonstrated it's iTraceRT-F200 together with it's interface for ABD's steering robots at Automotive Testing Exhibition. The system solution is in operation since 2008 at Daimler etc. for driverless testing of passenger cars and trucks and transmits vehicle's position, attitude and heading as well as velocity in 3D with high accuracy. These information are used by the steering robot to control the vehicle on the defined trajectory.
iTraceRT-F200 incl. interface is delivered as a key-ready solution for ABD driving robots.

    iPST/iGST September 2005: iGST crosses 52 rail tracks with 0.5 m Accuracy

Developed by iMAR in cooperation with Brownline / Netherlands, the iGST (Gyro Steering
Tool) has been used in several demanding applications for horizontal directional drilling.
iGST is a gyro based control system for directional drilling and is also known under the
tradename "Drillguide". In September 2005 it showed its superior performance, when it was
used in a demanding application to cross 52 rail tracks over 700 m without any aiding information.
The iGST, equipped with ring laser gyros and a special navigation software, hit the proposed
exit point with a deviation of only 0.5 m. The usage of standard steering tools like magnetic
based systems is impossible in such environment.

    iDRPOS.32 July 2005: iDRPOS.32 certified according to E13

The vehicle navigation unit iDRPOS.32 had been certified according to EMC directive E13
by the laboratory SGS FORSTER (TÜV) in July 2005. With this international EMC certificate the
iDRPOS.32 has received the approval for all land vehicles. iDRPOS.32 is a Dead-Reckoning
Navigation System of high precision for the surveying of roads and the navigation and guidance
of cars and trucks even there, where a high position accuracy in real-time is required under
difficult conditions where significant GPS outages occur.

Airborne Laser Scanning June 2005: Airborne Laser Scanning of Highest Accuracy

Using our iNAV-RQH-AIRSURV ring laser INS (data rate 2000 Hz, bias 0.002 deg/hr, 10 µg) iMAR
started its market introduction of its high-end inertial measurement systems into the airborne
laser scanning applications with several helicopter based laser scanning tasks in Vienna with
a Riegl Laser Scanner (type 560) [since 2007 also available for LEICA laser scanners].
With an integrated or external L1/L2 GPS receiver the iNAV-RQH-AIRSURV provides online
informationen for flight guidance and post-processing results on centimeter level (DGPS).

stabilisation system for E.ON May 2005: Laser Stabilisation and Auto-Tracking for airborne Gas Emmission Detection System

E.ON Ruhrgas sets their new airborne gas detection sensor to work, which is equipped with an iMAR
stabilisation unit (iSCU) and an iMAR INS/DGPS Online Kalman Filter for the auto-tracking
of the pipeline (iNAV-FMS with iIMU-FSAS - head). The gas detection system is developped
by Adlares in co-operation with the DLR and is now operated on a helicopter BO-105. The system
allows to detect even smallest leakages of gas at pipelines even if the sensor is operated in higher
altitude. The stabilised laser beam follows the pipeline independantly from the helicopter's flight
dynamics with an accuracy of approx. 1 meter

iMAR acquires contracts in India, China und Korea:
Since 1998 iMAR delivers inertial measuring systems also for the Asean market. Already in the middle of 2002 deeper contacts were built up to the Chinese and Indean market by commercial representatives working on those markets. iMAR's local sales and support representatives in Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Hyderabad (India) now already pronounce the first contracts for delivery of complex inertial measuring and surveying equipment "Made in Germany".
iMAR lectures in Beijing and Xi'an on Inertial Navigation and Guidance Dr. Edgar von Hinueber, MD of iMAR, in discussion with customers in Beijing regarding the conception of an inertial aided road surveying system
From March 18 to April 10 a delegation from iMAR visited China, to deepen the personel contacts to the customers, to present iMAR technology and to negotiate several quotations. During the visit two significant purchase orders were signed, which were initiated by our sales and support representative High Win Jaming in Beijing and Hong Kong.
iMAR's system families of "iNAV-FMS" and "iNAV-FJI" seem to be of special interest for the customers.

The iPEGASUS system delivered recently to the Agusta Westland Helicopter company, based in Yeovil UK, is destined for the alignment of navigational, weapons and structural systems in the production of Lynx, Merlin EH101 and Apache helicopters.

This marks iMAR's 12th sale of the iPEGASUS instrument and the second sale to a global helicopter manufacturing company, SF (Swiss Aircraft and Systems Enterprise Corp) being the first!
FENNEK: 100 % Quality Assurance of the Telescopic System by using iMAR's iPEGASUS The iPEGASUS is rapidly gaining full acceptance into aviation and weapons systems manufacturing as being the most versatile and practical method of real-time critical alignments, in up to three dimensions. The iPEGASUS is rapidly replacing traditional laser-based and optical tripod systems. Weapons systems' manufacturers can readily calibrate and test their systems - dynamically, with operator ease and to high orders of angular accuracy with repeatable results.

The usage in Germany is from the well-known manufacturer of weapon systems, MAUSER Oberndorf up to the 100%-quality assurance of the telescope system of the new WHEELED ARMED RECONNAISSANCE VEHICLE FENNEK of the German Army.

iMAR has delivered further systems of its ultra precision laser gyro navigator iNAV-RQH-AIRSURV for the field of airborne surveying / SAR (e.g. used by EADS). Accuracy down to mm/s at aircraft velocity of 80 m/s are demonstrated. More information (e.g. result plots) can be found in the section "Data Sheets".
